Nothing beats a Jam2 Holiday

Free & Easy 2.0 | Break Time Tunes & Triple Time Treats

Darlin’ hold my hand ~ 🎶

Nothing beats a Jam2 holiday, and right now, you can get 5 or so songs per person!! That’s 200 songs for a year of music 😆

Jokes aside, I know many of you are on your last stretches of the year, and can’t wait for the holiday season to come. It’s just a few months more (!), but in the meantime, here’s some tunes to take your mind off work and projects momentarily before going back to the grind.

Catch ya later,

Val

In this week's setlist:

🤠 A New Kind of Country Vibin’

Six decades on, country music has managed to retain much of its original sound — and if anything, a lot of it still feels and sounds the same. That doesn’t mean I’ll get tired of listening though, it remains one of my go-to genres HAHAHA

But recently, I’ve stumbled upon some modern country tunes so innovative and infused with other genres like indie and folk that they make you question whether they’re truly “country” at all. Just as globalization gave rise to fusion and international cuisine, music is becoming inter-genre-ational.

Here are a couple of tracks with country, blues, and soul woven together so seamlessly, you’ll wonder which genre to place them:

🎞️ The Latest Three-Quart Finds

This week’s 3/4-time signature songs all have a common theme: quarter-love crisis. Each singer brings their intimate take to their innermost thoughts, unveiling vulnerable memories underneath.

Here are some unskippable tracks to skip three-a step to:

💡 This Week’s Disc-Coveries

It’s a chill week guys, so it’s only appropriate that we keep the vibes smooth and light. To start, here’s a violin instrumental cover to a beloved Bruno Major hit. It’s the perfect intermission music as wedding reception guests head to the buffet table.

nothing - @Bruno Major, but make it’s just violin and guitar. #nothing #brunomajor #violin

Or if you’re lazing in bed at night — too tired for your usual night-owl activities yet too awake to sleep — let this electone piano cover amplify the crisp, quiet hum of the night.

This song reminds me of my childhood. #haveagoodnight #chilltheworld #fyp #foryou #seoul #nodeulisland #fypage #piano #nostalgia #80s #90s... See more

Also, here’s a wholesome older brother-younger sister duet cover of Shawn Mendes’ Never Be Alone that I’ve been finding super cute recently. It’s lovely how they sing in lowercase – their singing styles have a quiet lilt that feels super calming to listen to.

🎶 New Music This Week

Right Meow by JORDANN: I have a hunch that the synths that sound like a cat’s high and low meows was intended. Either way, I’ve no notes. Just vibes.
